ESD Consultant
TRG is well-established business with a legacy of over 30 years, specialiszing in retail and commercial projects. Operating across seven office locations in Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. We are looking for an experienced ESD Consultant to join our Team in Sydney. This is permanent full-time role for someone with strong understanding of environmentally sustainable design and the ability to liaise within multiple internal and external clients across the Australia and New Zealand.
As an ESD Consultant you will work on:
- Professional ESD reporting and consulting services and solutions to a range of clients.
- SDA report and consultancy. Sustainability management plan report.
- BESS assessments, Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD), Section J-DTS report, Section J-JV3 modelling.
- Daylight assessment, Waste Management plan (WMP), Green Travel Plan (GTP)
- Preliminary energy rating, Façade assessment, Glazing assessment, PV panels' assessment, Solar Hot Water system analysis
- Planning and coordinating ESD-related activities.
- Data analysis, finding solutions and presenting results effectively.
- Assist in planning and coordinating ESD-related activities.
- Perform building physics modelling, including assessments related to daylight, microclimate, facade performance, and thermal comfort.
- Prepare project reports and digital deliverables for clients, summarising ESD outcomes and offering strategic design recommendations.
- Lead sustainability assessments
Ideally, as a ESD Consultant you:
- Have a recognised degree in engineering, sustainability, or the built environment.
- Have at least 8 years of industry experience, focusing on ESD.
- Have thorough knowledge of local building codes and standards related to sustainability and ESD practices.
- Have proven track record in developing sustainable design strategies, from concept to post-occupancy evaluation.
- Have exceptional written and verbal communication skills for clear and effective interaction with internal and external clients.
- Have strong analytical skills.
- Have strong presentation and report writing skills.
- Enjoy the knowledge sharing process, mentoring, training team members and willingly take more junior staff under your wing.
- Have a positive attitude and good teamwork skills.
- Are able to work both autonomously and as a member of a small/medium/big team and meet deadlines, keeping a strong attention to detail.
- Are able to organize and prioritize work with excellent time management.
- Are a proactive, self-motivated individual who is adaptable to a fast-paced workplace.
- Have current full Drivers Licence.
